Spotting after sex, also known as post-coital bleeding, is not always normal and can have several causes.

Sex during pregnancy is generally safe for most women with uncomplicated pregnancies. However, it is possible for sexual activity to cause some vaginal spotting or bleeding during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. If you experience either, it’s important to inform your healthcare provider and follow their advice.

Spotting may be caused by vaginal dryness, hormonal changes,
rough sex, or injury. It may also be a symptom of cervical irritation, an infection, placenta previa, a miscarriage, or cervical or uterine cancer.

Babies often burp after consuming considerable breastmilk or infant formula because they can get severe wind if they swallow air during meals. When gas bubbles become trapped in a baby’s tummy, they will feel much discomfort.

Burping is most helpful during the first two to three months of your baby’s life, just after feeding. Once your baby can sit up and roll over, burping may no longer be necessary.
